Miriam Weinstein is a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) in New York State. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marymount Manhattan College and her Master’s degree from New York University.

As a therapist, Miriam believes in a holistic approach to treatment that not only focuses on the psychological, but also on the physical, socio-economic, religious, and spiritual factors in one’s life. Miriam works from a psychodynamic perspective, adjusting her clients’ treatment to best address their individual needs. Some of the modalities she often employs include traditional talk therapy, cognitive-behavioral and trauma-informed interventions, mindfulness, creative arts therapy, and play therapy. Miriam has experience working with pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Miriam’s therapeutic style is client-centered, strengths-oriented, and empowering. She views each person as the expert of their own experience and sees herself as an agent of unveiling their full potential. It is Miriam’s passion to see her clients grow and heal through the therapeutic relationship, and she endeavors to help them come to a place where they can truly live their lives with independence and fulfillment.
