Alyssa VanBramer is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State. She received her Master of Science in Social Work from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY and graduated at the top of her class. She has over 8 years of experience in the mental health field, primarily working with individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and chronic health conditions. Recently, she has found most enjoyment in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, trauma, and codependency, but is skilled in helping individuals navigate numerous mental health symptoms and life transitions. In her treatment, Alyssa uses an integrative approach that involves therapeutic techniques (CBT, DBT, etc), active listening, empathy, validation, and the introduction of a personal daily practice (mindfulness meditation, journaling, breathwork, etc) that is custom tailored to meet the client where they are at in their healing journey. She is passionate about building a strong rapport with her clients to make them feel safe, heard, and supported in reaching their treatment goals as they learn to accept the past and move forward into their future with courage, tenacity, and hope. She looks forward to holding space for her clients as they work toward becoming the healthiest versions of themselves!
